What we collect

• Search details you enter: location (city, ZIP or, if you allow it, your approximate device location), budget, allergies, craving and party size. We use them only to run your search.
• A random device ID created by the app, used to apply daily search limits. It is not linked to your name.
• Purchase status from Apple or Google through our payment provider RevenueCat, so Premium works on your devices. We never see your card details.
• Advertising data (free plan, app only): Google AdMob may use your device's advertising ID to show ads. On iPhone you'll be asked for permission first.

What we don't collect

No account, name, email, contacts or precise location history. Allergies and preferences you set in the app stay on your device.

Who we share data with

• Google Maps Platform receives your search area and craving to find restaurants.
• Anthropic (Claude) receives restaurant names and addresses to look up menus. Your personal details are not sent.
• Google Firebase hosts our service and stores daily usage counters for up to 7 days.
• RevenueCat and Google AdMob as described above.

We do not sell your personal information.

Children

Meal Match is meant for users 13 and older. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Allergy disclaimer

Menu and allergen information is gathered automatically from public sources and can be wrong or out of date. Always confirm ingredients and allergens with restaurant staff before ordering.

Your choices

You can turn off location access in your device settings, use Premium to remove ads, and delete the app to remove its stored data. To ask about or delete any data we hold, email [SUPPORT EMAIL].
